The Undaunted | History of 3 Gorkha Rifles
A regimental history of the 3rd Gorkha Rifles, commissioned by the Gurkha Training Centre and premiered at Bada Khana. My first film with the Indian military.
The Film
A regimental history of the 3rd Gorkha Rifles, commissioned by the Gurkha Training Centre and produced under Moonlight. The film traces the regiment from its pre-British origins through to contemporary service, and it was my first collaboration with the Indian military under that banner.
How I Made It
The film had to work as a ceremonial screening for veterans and serving officers and as a permanent record the regiment could keep. Production began with research into historical records and archival materials. I handled the writing, the research and the visual composition. Period documentation was combined with contemporary motion graphics, and animation sequences were integrated with live-action filming, using visual symbolism to carry the themes of sacrifice, duty and institutional pride.
Where It Landed
The film premiered at Bada Khana, a regimental gathering attended by war veterans and serving officers. It remains part of the regiment's official historical record.
