The Undaunted | History of 3 Gorkha Rifles
Regimental tribute film for the 3rd Gorkha Rifles, screened at the Bada Khana celebration. Blends history, honor, and motion design to preserve martial legacy.
A Dream Fulfilled
Commissioned by the Gurkha Training Centre, this documentary honoring the 3rd Gurkha Rifles fulfilled a longstanding aspiration to collaborate with India’s military. The film traces the regiment’s journey from pre-British origins through contemporary service.
Production
The production, completed 7-8 years ago, involved comprehensive research into historical records and archival materials. I personally oversaw writing, research, and visual composition, combining period documentation with contemporary motion graphics.
Themes
The narrative emphasizes themes of sacrifice, duty, and institutional pride. The production integrated animation sequences with live-action filming, employing visual symbolism throughout.
The Premiere
The premiere occurred at a regimental gathering called Bada Khana, attended by military veterans and active officers. This screening remains among my most significant professional achievements—the appreciation it received from senior officers and war veterans stands among my proudest acknowledgments.
The film remains part of the regiment’s official historical record.
