From Complexity to Clarity
I discovered Rupa Bhati’s work through researcher Nilesh Oak while developing Prachyam. Bhati’s infographic chart compressed historical, archaeological, and scriptural data into a unified civilizational timeline but lacked accessibility for general audiences.
Redesigning the Past
I reimagined the chart to maintain research integrity while improving intuitiveness and scannability. Working with Bhati and Oak’s guidance, the redesigned graphic helps audiences understand India’s antiquity through astronomical, archaeological, textual, and epigraphic evidence layers.
A Quiet Contribution
The redesigned chart appeared in MyIndMakers’ annual publication. This project demonstrates how storytelling can make great knowledge travel farther—taking complex research and making it accessible to everyone curious about India’s ancient past.
